Alexis Champion

Alexis Champion is a Communications and Impact Specialist for HHMI Tangled Bank Studios where she supports the studio’s social media presence, develops creative for publicity and branding, and assists with studio and film events.

Champion comes to HHMI Tangled Bank Studios from MOM’s Organic Market, where she managed the marketing department, including creating marketing materials, overseeing store openings, and cultivating non-profit partnerships. In her role developing partnerships, she was able to gain a deep understanding of the missions of many local environmental groups as she wrote campaigns about the work they did for MOM’s customers. 

Champion has a background in marketing and graphic design and holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the University of Maryland, where she was also a Strategic Design and Innovation Fellow.
