Emiley Garcia-Zych

Emiley Garcia-Zych is a Science Media Fellow for HHMI Tangled Bank Studios. In this role, she supports the Outreach and Communications team and manages social media and digital outreach for the digital streaming series “Wild Hope.” 

Garcia-Zych comes to HHMI from the Smithsonian’s National Air & Space Museum, where she worked on informal curriculum development and facilitated museum programming. Past experience includes coordinating educational outreach at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, overseeing social media for academic departments at Boston University and the University of Southern California, and developing educational content for STEAM education-focused nonprofits. 

Garcia-Zych holds a bachelor's in biological anthropology with a film and television studies minor from Boston University. She is a current Learning Design & Technology master's student at the University of Southern California.
