Fidel Anderson

Fidel Anderson supports the production, operations, and distribution efforts of HHMI Tangled Bank Studios as a Production & Operations Specialist. Anderson helps to manage productions on a day-to-day basis, including programs such as “Wild Hope,” “Turtle Walker,” and “Hunt for the Oldest DNA,” while also assisting with behind-the-scenes operations by collaborating with production partners to maintain the financial and legal responsibilities of the studio. 

Prior to joining HHMI Tangled Bank Studios, Anderson was a talent agent for the Docherty Agency, where she represented models and actors across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio, helping to book talent on commercial, feature film, and industrial projects across the country. Her clients included Netflix, Paramount+, Amazon’s Freevee, American Eagle, Carnegie Museum of Art, and Big Lots. She also spent the early part of her career working on sets; her experience ranges from working on independent features such as Basic Psych (2024), to short digital videos produced for the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. 

Anderson holds a Bachelor of Arts in film and media studies as well as a Bachelor of Science in natural sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was honored with Chancellor’s Undergraduate Teaching Fellowship and London Field Studies research awards.
