Taryn White

Taryn White manages communications and impact efforts across HHMI Tangled Bank Studios including film premieres, educational partnerships, and outreach efforts. She develops and supports key relationships and programs, including HHMI Tangled Bank Studios’ Library Impact Initiative, which is a multi-year program aimed at making science more relevant and accessible to local communities.

White comes to HHMI Tangled Bank Studios from the Smithsonian Science Education Center, where she worked on formal science elementary and middle school curriculum. She helped develop curriculum and supplemental resources such as children’s science readers and animated and live action series. She has a journalism background and has worked on the editorial side for many different media outlets including NPR, Laredo Morning Times and Time Out Mumbai. 

White holds a masters degree in public administration from the University of Arizona.
